The One with the WRONG FLIGHT

Duh Rolling Eyes
Going up on the Table Mountain was the PERFECT way to end the spectacular Cape Town Golf Tour.

Or so it seemed....
Until we arrived at Cape Town Airport, to catch our flight back to Johannesburg...

Apparently.... apparently....
I
MADE
A
BOO-BOO
WITH
THE
FLIGHT
TIME.

I had given the travel agent the arrival time at Johannesburg.
Which meant.... WE HAD MISSED THE FLIGHT!
What a f***ing idiot I was!
I could not believe I could have made such a HUGE mistake.
I was close to tears.
Everything had been smooth so far.
But I had to make an anal mistake as such!
If there was a noose available, I would have hung myself - for real.

The only next flight available?
SAA.
Flippin' expensive.
We only had 2 options :
1. Stay another night at Cape Town and fly off the next day;
2. Pay till my nose and ass bleed, fly SAA.

I offered to pay for everyone's replacement ticket as I could not live with myself for making such a horrifying mistake. 10 years of flying, I've never missed a flight or made a mistake with my flight times. And the first time had to happen NOW. Like... why??? Why??? (Drama-queen act).

Everyone was really sweet about it and didn't attempt to murder me. They insisted on paying for their own fares and their understanding made me feel even more rotten. They rationalised that the mistake was destined to happen. IF we had made it on-time for the original flight, we would have missed Table Mountain. I appreciated their effort to make me feel better for my mistake and it was then that I felt.... even a baboon's ass looked better than my face.

Yes.
Say it.
I AM a stinkin' idiot.

It took me at least the next hour or so before I calmed down from the drama. We arrived back in Johannesburg close to 2100 hours and headed straight for dinner at Ocean Basket down at Rivonia Square.

It was home after dinner.

Everyone crashed out after this long eventful (and dramatic) day.

And that marked the end of the Cape Town Tour.

Good night.
