GEOMETRIC SHAPES CREATE CHOOEY

Early morning meetings get me cranky. I'm not a morning person so having to be stuck in traffic on the M1 at 0800 hours is not exactly my idea of a great way to start my Wednesday. My mind started roaming as the sappy tunes of "Best of Audiophiles II" played. I'm surprised that the CD is still not scratched from overabuse from me replaying it at least for the hundredth time (no exaggeration).

In my morning stupor of "What the f*** am I still in this job" and wondering if I'll ever get to that building at the other end of Johannesburg, my nonsensical mind roamed to comic zone. I wondered.... how easy it must be to illustrate me! It is like doing a Mickey Mouse sketch. All you need, REALLY, are geometric shapes.

Think about it....
  1. 1 CIRCLE (a full one) for the face;
  2. 2 LINES for the eyes;
  3. 2 more scratchy LINES for the eyebrows;
  4. 1 CIRCLE for the button/honker nose (think I went abit modest on the size. Reckon it should be even bigger?);
  5. 2 slightly thicker line for the lips;
  6. 2 OVALS for the ears;
  7. 12 TINY CIRCLES for earrings on my right ear;
  8. 1 short CYLINDER for the almost-non-existent neck;
  9. Loads of scratchy lines for the permanently unkempt hair;
  10. 1 moderate-length CYLINDER to represent the body from neck down (I omitted this bit out).
And tada!
There I have it.... Chooeypoo illustrated in the simplest form.....

Oh yes!
Did I ever mention that I've chopped my lion's mane off?
So yeah, short hair now.....

So talking abt hair, out of sheer ridiculous boredom, I ATTEMPTED to colour in my infamous RGB-coloured hair. But ai-aye-aye-aye-aye! It turned out to be a bigger task than illustrating that circular object called my face. It was just a matter of getting the browns and the reds and the blondes and the coppers in the right place. Good God! I can't decide if the variety of dyes I have killing my brain cells is more RGB or CMYK or maybe even the generics of the pantone palette. But as much as I was bored, I ran out of patience to squiggle in my abstract hairdo.

Bleah.
So amusement over.
Back to my most favourite thing in the world, work.
Clearly, I'm bored and uninspired.
Boss is coming tomorrow.
Blah blah blah blah blah....
