Seriously now.... someone who thinks that if she was a beverage, she would be COFFEE is so not a calm person. Which part of the word stimulant suggests calm? Bull bull and bull again.
Looks like over 2 million people got suckered by this quiz like I did. I have to admit that these ridiculous quizzes are a good source of distraction - especially from this dreaded thing called WORK.
I will constantly be saying this : For all you mama and papa out there in this miserable world, please do NOT ever ever ever let your child get into the retail / fashion industry. At this point, my "bloody bitch" catchphrase is an understatement. But let me say it anyway, it is the bloodiest bitch ever to exist. Argh. I'm in suicidal mode. So calm? Contemplative? Bleah.
Thing about this industry is a the epitome of love-hate reason.
Love : Design and Products.
Hate : Dealing with cheap-shit products, design plagurization and mass production.
Love : Sometimes the people.
Hate : Most of the time - the people.
Love : The travelling.
Hate : Over-travelling.
Love : When samples turn out right.
Hate : Most of the time - samples turn out wrong.
Love : When the styles sells.
Hate : When the styles sells and then given to someone else for continuity.
Hate : Customers thinking that samples can be churned out in 24 hours.
Hate : Having to explain WHY samples cannot be produced in 24 hours.
Hate : Factory screaming over the samples that need to be churned out in 72 hours and
enduring hours of talks (which I've heard over a million times) with the boss on WHY samples CANNOT be churned out in 72 hours.
Hate : Having to BEG for those damn samples to be churned out in 72 hours.
Hate : Customers thinking that production lead time is 1 week.
Hate : Sounding like a broken record and explaining for the zillionth time about production lead times.
Hate : Factory screaming over shortened production lead time.
Hate : BEGGING for shortened production lead time.
Hate : Production screw-ups.
Hate : Production screw-ups that has no remedy.
Hate : Going back to customer to break the bad news about production screw-ups.
Hate : Factory thinks that I can perform miracles with their screw-ups.
Hate : Actually performing miracles to save production screw-ups.
Hate : Order cancellations.
Hate : Haggling with customers like selling fish at a flea market over order cancellations.
Hate : Explaining to factory reason for cancellation.
Hate : Factory thinking it is my fault for cancellation.
Hate : China's dominance.
Hate : South Africa's incompetency.
The "Hate" definitely outweighs the "Love", and the hate list can easily go on.
Oh well.
Back to work again......

Such is the agony of dealing with people! While reading urs I already have an education industry version of the love-hate saga. Sigh, if someone had told me earlier, I would have studied harder and deal with Computers...ok I lie... it's DOGS!
Yeah! We are all suffering the fate of stubbornly choosing the wrong industry. Start on ur education love-hate saga. Would be fun to read... at least keeps me in touch with good 'ol Singapore.
