Re-match : Federer vs. Gasquet

If only winning lottery is as easy as predicting tennis matches...

True to my prediction, it is a Federer vs. Gasquet showdown tomorrow.

It will be Federer's revenge against Gasquet for the defeat he suffered in the quarterfinals of Monte Carlo earlier this year.

Both did not play their best today in the semi-finals. Federer clearly looked distracted at the start of the first set when he went one break down against Davydenko. But as usual, Federer hardly fails to make his come back from two sets down look so ridiculously easy and eventually won the match in straight sets, 6-3 6-4.

18 year old Gasquet looked distracted as well but did not struggle too much to win his sets swiftly in straight sets as well, 6-1 6-1.

Of course my support goes to Federer to defend his Hamburg title. Federer will have a tough fight to defend that title. Mind you, do not underestimate Gasquet. He plays a similiar game to Federer and does impressive crosscourt winners as well as his favourite single backhand down the line shots.

However, Federer is notorious for his pride and I am quite sure he will punish Gasquet for that Monte Carlo win.

We'll see....
