Maybe 5 IS the New 3

The bad streak with Spider Solitaire ended today.
I only dropped one game.
And I have to say this - the day was GREAT!
Of course there were the occasional lapses of annoying work calls.
But at least the infuriation ceased for one day.
Anyway, those slight irritations were forgettable.

Golf lesson was.... FANTABULOUS! Even I was shocked by my own improvements. About bloody time! No weird body swaying, lesser balls flying to the right..... AND! AND! I finally progressed on 5-woods!

Woohoo!

I was, thank God, relatively decent using the 5-woods. And so the instructor said, "You should easily hit over 100 metres on this." Errr... not really. I think the furthest I achieved was about 110 metres. But I insist those were fluke shots! I had better luck watching my ball struggling to make it to that 100 metres white flag. Bleah.

Then again, I got lucky today. Usually, I get these old and young pros, who can drive their balls STRAIGHT into the land of nowhere, playing in front and behind of me. But today, I got funny stanced men instead! Men who are just as lousy as I am! That was an ego boost I tell ya! Finally I was better.... amongst the worst. Ha!

I have to say though.... IT FELT GOOD watching some of those decent shots I made. An encouragement I tell ya. I play good one out of four lessons in a month, and completely bomb the rest. And it is remembering these once a month moments that keeps me going. I have to admit. My body is aching now!

Talking about golf, here's an article of Bibik ME in May's issue of Golf.

I have a deal with Bibik ME.
She will come to SA to play golf with me once I get my provisional certificate (PC).
I give her weekly report of my progress.
If not for her encouragements, I think I would have given up golf a long time ago!

Must get PC.
Must get Bibik ME back to SA to play golf.

Oooohhh ooooohhhhh ooooohhhhhh! And talking about Bibik ME, I've got to show my FIRST EVER pair of golf shoes! It was her that took me to this golf shop during my recent trip back to Singapore, used her SIN$50 dollars voucher and managed to get me a further 25% discount. Fab or what!

So ladies and gentlement......
Announcing my CHEAPEST PAIR OF SHOES EVER.....
Miss Footjoy!
(Birthday : 1st of May 2005)

Guy at Golf Shop, "And this is... $25.00 (SIN$)."

I yelled in horror, "What?????"

Jaws dropped.
Bibik ME rushed over to the counter and asked, "Is something wrong?"

I looked at her sheepishly, "Nothing. He told me my shoes cost $25.00 and I was so shocked. Erm... so cheap. Thought I saw wrong."

And that's the story of my first pair of golf shoes.
All thanks to Bibik ME.
It is still sitting at the corner ya know.
Waiting for me to put them on.
Yes sweetie!
I hear ya!
Soon... soon....
