How depressing.
After all that on-court drama of him arguing with the umpire, he lost 6-4 4-6 3-6 to Ferrero.
The loss is bad.
Very bad.
Eccentric Safin is going to have mental trouble after his god-knows-how-many 2nd round losses since winning Australian Open at the start of this year.

Credit to Ferrero though.
He did play a very solid game.
On a happier note, Federer played a superb game, creaming Berdych 6-2 6-1.
It was obvious from that determined look on Federer's face that he was all out for revenge from his loss to Berdych at Athens Olympics 2004.
Such a proud character he is.
I think that he and JHH will make great mixed-doubles partners.
They will be the two swans of tennis, gliding through shots and making the game look pretty.
Federer's got ass luck on his draws.
So he meets Robredo tomorrow.
Current head-to-head record is 5-0, Federer leading.
I don't think Fed can swallow a 5-1 record so I'm sure he'll cream Robredo for the 6th time running.
I'm quite sure Coria will win Ancic so anticpating a Fed-Coria quarter finals.
Yikes!
More of energiser-whiner Coria.
That will be a tough one.
After all, that damn whiner is (or perhaps was with Nadal in the pic now) known as the 'Clay Court King'.
Ppppttttuuuiiii!
Gasquet won his 2nd round match against Massu.
I wonder if he will meet Fed in the Finals.
Hmm... that will be a great match to watch....
Gasquet DID defeat Fed in Monte Carlo.
I wonder what the revenge level on Fed will be ....
Baby steps... baby steps....
Each match at a time....
