"Twas the Day Before Departure... And All That Pink...

The last thing I do before long trips?
Housework.

The first thing I do after long trips?
Housework.

The chore is done - thank goodness. Vacumm cleaner and washing machine are my household electrical best friends, don't know what I'll do without them. Then comes the mop and rag, followed by toilet ducks, toilet brush and window cleaning spirit.

Tip : Window cleaning spirit works wonder on chrome products - takes the stains out in an instant and it looks brand spankin' new again! Hassle-free cleaning. I like!

Forget about wearing shirts, blouses, skirts and trousers! Iron-free t-shirts and jeans suit me fine!

Do I sound like a housewife or what?

Sometimes.... I forget what my real job is.
I must seriously contemplate getting a maid to prevent thy housewife talks.

Factory is officially close - an even bigger goodness.
Back logs cleared.
Last package sent.
Merry Christmas.

I kept up to my word. I dragged my heavy butt out of this chair and made a trip down to Sandton City - the best shopping mall in Johannesburg. The only mall here that carries designer labels... MINIMAL and overcharged, countable with my little toes.....

  • Gucci
  • Louis Vuitton - opened a couple of weeks back
  • D&G - the diffusion line, not the main Dolce & Gabbana line. Newly opened too.
  • LSD - which carries Diesel Style Lab, New York Industries and D&G.
  • Diesel - Added this in just to have an extra bullet to make the list one longer. I would not consider Diesel to be a designer label but in all fairness, they do carry a decent range of commercially-bankable deconstructed styles. Diesel is more apt as the "in-between" High Street and Designer category - too pricey for High-Street but not exclusive enough for Designer category.
Count done. That still leaves me with a couple of little toes available.

Designer labels aside.

For the first time today, Sandton City was actually packed! Then I remembered - Christmas. A season for spending. Not good. Chooeypoo hates crowd. Chooeypoo hates shopping crowds even more. Get baby things and scram.

And All That Pink for Little Snuffles-To-Be
Congo Joe : Definitely a girly store. Country themed - Laura Ashley inspired? Household ornaments, frilly shee-shee (as in girly, flowy; not pee) pretty things and odd assortment of knick-knacks. Not a bad store for occasional fluff-input.

I cannot believe I succumbed to retail stereotype and bought a whole lot of pink - Pink for Girls and blue for boys. But if I didn't, there would be nothing left to buy.

Now I remember why I enjoyed dealing with Children's Wear. These miniscule size things are just too darn cute. And then I think of dressing teddy bears in these tiny joys of clothes and accessories... .

Oops! I'm suppose to get for Snuffles. Not teddy.

Anyway, my original sighting was Burgundy booties and matching burgundy baby-bag for Fizzy-Mummy. But SOLD OUT. Sorry Fizzy-Mummy. So I had to settle for PINK. I'll let it go this time. She can get away with pink when she is a newborn. Can be soooo-sweeeettttt, I guess? But once she's at the age where pink is not the only flipping option.....

And all that PINK.....
(P.S. I couldn't decide between the 2 booties so I got both )

Little Pink Bootie

The only UN-pink :

Little Brown Bootie
(Think it matches the top as well)

Little Crochet Tee
with Matching Drawstring Bag

Matching Crochet Pillow

Squishy Pink Bunny-Wunny

Talk about being sickeningly co-ordinated.....

Merry Christmas Snuffles-To-Be!
