Template Layout Traumas

In case anyone has failed noticing, this is my very first attempt at web-template designing, more specifically, BLOG template designing. Don't know about anyone else who has tried but damn these CSS codes are enough to age someone by 10 years.

Anyway, just to illustrate my previous post about difference in appearance.....

1) What the layout looks like on my screen :

Nevermind the horizontal scrollbar but basically full horizontal layout can be viewed. And well, this is suppose to be how it looks like.

However........


2) What the layout looks like on my friend's screen :

Colour's wrong, font's wrong, and only 1/2 the layout can be seen.... looks terrible this way (I think).

ANYONE WHO IS ACTUALLY READING THIS....
Please tell me which version are you seeing? I hope not any worse than version 2! AND IF you actually have any great tips or advise, please pass it this way!

Starting to think I've got revert back to good 'ol Mr Minima.

Sigh.
