Wednesday morning.
Kept up to my silent self-declaration whilst driving to work.
Just took Flapper for a jog...
Well, didn't get too far with "jogging". Flapper-mummy has no stamina AT ALL. We covered a total of approx 3 km and I think we jogged only erm.....500 metres? Haha. We brisked walked the rest of the way. As usual, Flapper's tongue was hanging side ways less than 200 metres later, displaying his sexy-mole on the tongue.
Cool weather (thank God).
Nice!
I am liking Choa Chu Kang area... ALOT.
Sandy's (aka Flapper) back and Sandy smells good. Brought him to Changi Beach yesterday for a swim and as usual, sandy as sandy can be. Mister is happy. Swimming is his life. I've got myself a MER-DOG named SANDY.
"Swimming?", I asked.
You will never see a quicker reaction from him than hearing this magic word "swimming". The flappy ear twitches, his head bobs up, he looks at me expectantly before getting from his down position to come nudge me with his cold cold nose.
I keep wondering.
Could I build a kennel in the pool?
I'm sure one dog will be very happy to live there.
Mindless thoughts.
I'm blessed to have Dumbo and Flapper.
They make me laugh.
They make me mad.
They make me proud.
They make me shy.
They make me busy.
They make me free.
But through it all, they are there with me. :)
It's not only about what we can teach them but what they can teach us. Want life lessons in patience, commitment, faithfulness and loyalty? Get a dog.
Then again, I shouldn't be encouraging dog ownership. The dog re-homing centres are busy enough with the increasing number of dogs getting abandoned.
"Hi! Do you remember me? I'm the owner of xxxxxxx. I was wondering if you guys might want to adopt my dog. I do not have much time these days so I don't think I want xxxxxx anymore. I know he will be in good hands at your place. Do you think you want him?"
XXXXXX is 8 years old, big dog.
Need I say more?
I could do a thesis on this topic.
Arrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!
